Q: Why did you choose to become a veterinary technician?
A:
I would like hands on experience in the field to help me decide if I want to apply to vet school. I love supporting doctors and being able to get cuddles in with our furry friends!

Q: Do you have any previous experience or education?

  • Graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences.
  • One year of vet tech experience as an ER technician at VCA Newark.
  • Three years wildlife rehab experience from Tri-State Bird Rescue.

Q: Are you thinking about becoming licensed?
A:
I would consider getting licensed if vet school is not the path for me.

Q: Why did you apply to Longwood Veterinary Center?
A:
I had heard great things about the quality of medicine and how well the staff works together. I also heard that openings were far and few between here. So when I made the decision to move to PA, I knew I had to apply here.

Q: What is one thing you like about working at LVC?
A:
How well the staff works with each other on every level: nurses, doctors, and management!

Q: What is one thing you are interested in learning about?
A:
Getting experience monitoring anesthesia and assisting in surgery.

Q: Do you have any pets at home?
A:
Yes! One golden retriever, one pitbull, two cats and two birds.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?

  • Horseback riding
  • Hiking
  • Reading
